World Literature
This semester, we will be exploring literature from around the world. We will begin with antiquity, and will read excerpts of classical Greek mythology, and ending with twentieth century pieces. We will explore several major works, along with many smaller supplementary pieces. Be prepared to read every night, and meaningfully contribute to class discussions and activities daily. It is absolutely essential that you read in order to keep up with the pace of this course. Regular reading quizzes will be administered to hold you accountable for the assigned reading. As mentioned in your syllabus and in class, any hand-written notes may always be used on quizzes in class.
