Welcome to American Literature! American literature is a large part of the reason I majored in English and is one of my absolute favorite courses to teach. I have planned this course for students who are preparing for post-secondary education, whatever that may be, and thus, this course is quite challenging. Be prepared to work and I will prepare you to succeed in your life after school!

The emphasis in English II is critical analysis of literature using both print and non-print texts. The scope of this course exposes students to various periods in our nation's literary heritage and challenges them to articulate the diversity of the American experience.
